Why don't you start by going to the Sony Ericsson website and seeing if you can work it out? It's not that difficult. It explains everything step by step.

I'd say it won't work for you. What is the first 8 digits of your IMEI number? I'd hazard a guess that it's 35401000 if you have R2AC. If it is, it's unlikely that it will work due to a problem with the SEUS that is preventing newer K700i handsets from using the service. I have informed SE of this problem, and they are supposidly working on it.

Just a quick note to say that after months of bugging SE, they've finally fixed the problem with the SEUS disallowing certain Orange K700i handsets. I have personally tested it and it is indeed now fixed.
So all you Orange K700i owners who couldn't previously use the service should now be able to.

I have Tried again to download the latest update for the Orange K700i (uk) and it worked with out any problems.
Orange users are now able to download the latest version of R2AY004 by using the SE updated service.
Whats more interesting. Orange users now get 2 set shortcuts on the joysitck of left and right.
The other icons are still there, but its great that i can set a shortcut to bluetooth now.
No problems reported with anything else.

cant upgrade my o2 branded k700i. keeps saying there is an error in communication with the device. im using a p800 dss-20 sync station. my current firmware is r2a041. any advice?
