I know this is slightly off-topic concerning P5/Paris, but this is the Rumors thread and there seem to be some people "in the know" about upcoming devices.
I currently have a w810i which has been great, but it is a little too thick in the pants pocket. I've had it for a few years now, so it's also getting time for an upgrade. I really like the w910i and was on the verge of purchasing one when I learned of w760i w/GPS, but I like the design of w910 better.
Then I started following the P5i threads and have still been waiting for official specs --- lots of rumors, though! Based on P5/Paris pix posted today, it seems to be the same thickness as my w810i. I was hoping for it to be thinner (as thin as w910i) -- even if it were a bit wider. So, I'm back to looking at the w910i!
The main things I would like to have that my current w810 is lacking are:
1. thinner (approx 12mm)
2. better UI
3. ability to check e-mail (i don't need to do serious business work, but answering e-mail would be a great help)
4. GPS/navigation
5. fast web (wifi ?) / nice UI
6. side-slide QWERTY keyboard (I haven't used a qwerty like the one P5 seems to have, but it might work fine for me!)
7. walkman/media player
The iPhone covers most of these, but I like w910 design better and have been a longtime SE fan. It would be a reluctant switch to iPhone2...
Sorry for the long ramble, but does anyone 'in the know' know of an upcoming device that would fit all of these? I can be patient, but I've been putting off the phone upgrade since October, waiting to see what P5 or X1 would be! Unfortunately, for my purposes, they both seem to be too thick. I want a full feature phone (more for media and internet/e-mail than full business applications) that when it is in my pocket, I don't always know that it is there.
Thanks! And again, sorry for the long post.

I think Paris and X1 are not that thick in real life at all. I think it's pretty slim from when I held the X1 from one of the people I know. Not sure if Paris is thicker, but it looks slimmer to me. You should try X1 first, I will guarantee that it is not thick at all when you actually hold it in your hand. Other than that, I think Paris or X1 will satisfy your needs.

Ahhh...you're watching my home forum very closely
I will decide when the the video is ready to be shown public.
No, it's more up to Sony Ericsson to make the next announcement

And how long will it be until that happens?
Also, doesnt Paris have a flash?
More than anything, its FLASH LITE I want to see in Paris. If its set to SLAY, the competition, then surely it must have it.

@m-one
Sorry bro this was the only time i checked out that forum
As far as the video thing goes, I think you should not make it online till the phone is officially announced... It would be much more better if you decide to make the video online say within 24hrs after the announcement of paris... Really, there are many pics already and they should be enough to hold everyone till the announcement... Otherwise, If you let it loose before it, it might spoil the fun...
Just a suggestion, choice is yours...

Probably the design and specs are not yet finalized that's why the video can't be shown yet. Vital parts such as camera and large portion on it's sides are covered by fingers in the images making it open for changes and improvements(!?)
That's a good thing inorder to give SE time to change their minds and go for:
VGA! or even WVGA to fill the wasted space above the d-pad
bring back Jog Dial!
Xenon Flash
3.5 mm jack (if it's not present initially)
I hope these features are not too demanding for a flagship device that is set to Slay the competitors..
