@ doc,
There's actually a Nando's in the Madad area of Mumbai, which opened last year.
Pakistan has a branch in Karachi too.

The menu's basically various levels of spicey chicken served as chicken burgers, or various chicken options wrapped in pita bread, but there's also eg. half or quarter-chicken meals served with chips/potato wedges, coleslaw, unlimited fizzy drink, etc.
The mildest chicken served is the 'Lemon and Herb,' progressing to the 'Nando's Extra Hot'...
There's also various salads and side orders, as well as a basic range of puddings.

I love my curry, the hotter the better. The hottest i've ever tasted was made using some exotic spice from Morocco. I can't stand that insipid pale yellow concoction which some people call curry, it's nothing more than stew with a touch of tumeric.

Mutton curry tends to be a healthier alternative to chicken curry (in reality not in theory) as sheep are raised and fed decently. At least in contrast to our mass produced chicken.

Wow...too many India related discussions in this thread...
Whats the dish served in Nandos??i think the chicken curry served in restaurents and hotels outside india are of mild form...they r fake curries.true curry are very chilly and served hot...sometimes people even here find it too hot to eat...but they still enjoy.

Ok, I'll admitt, I love my curry "fake" but the stuff they've got in Durban is potent.

Well,l can't really tell which one is healthier, chicken curry or mutton curry. This sort of brings one question to my mind,Do you guys believe all the stuff the put on the labels on food packets?I mean, all those scientific names of those nutritional info.

lol, i'm coloured, any curry is good curry :D

As far as the labelling on foodstuff goes, the fresher the better, so we tend to go very easy on the processed stuff. Even drinks like Coca-Cola are a no-no, there's way too much sugar in there.

LOL Kryptik, I must also be a Philistine in the eyes of the curry purists then... I don't get a kick or have any appreciation for something that causes plumes of smoke to pour out of all my orifices. :-D
