Ok got my X1 today which is all very exciting!!!

I've got the contacts sorted, email sorted and starting on music and then software. I've been on the net and got a few, key apps so far are

Flash 3.1
Bluetooth switcher
Facebook

So which are the apps people who have had their X1 a little longer recommend? Which navigation software do most people use? I was looking at TT Nav 6.

Does anyone's X1 suffer from lock-ups, particularly when updating the RSS feeds on the 'today panel'?
I have to reboot my X1 once or twice a day, sometimes I have to remove/insert the battery to get it going again

Honestly I don't use built in RSS but a free pRSS Reader which is great.
My phone locked up once, I use it HEAVILY for 3weeks now.

Did any of you experience the cracks in case that XDA Developers are talking about? Or the plastic near the d-pad starting to peel off?

No cracks here, but peeling of yes.
As for apps, guys, go to
www.inxperia.com

Also, at xda-developers, at the X1 section, is a STICKY topic with
all the hacks and enhancements.
As for me, I don't use so much 3rd party as I did before....
But there's tons of apps.

Get GoogleMaps 2.3. And definitely Flash, YouTube...
Also for roaming - NoData.
And for a full backup on your SD card SpriteBackup....

Thanks for the help dominstry, I'll check them out and see what there is. Are there a lot of other panels out there?

Out where?
What SE did is all on SE site.
On XDA you'll find YouTube, different Spb and TouchFlo (I don't use any of them...)
So basically NOT many.

mizzle

So what's up with ROM upgrade for X1??
Starts to be strange this device did not see ANY upgrade since launch! HTC devices got few of them, even the ones released later!

I'm still waiting for SE to provide some ROM updates. I haven't taken the step to patch it with any cooked ROMs yet until I find the bugs to be overwhelming.

I am the case, I had a crack near stulus holder and colour from my d-pad started to peel of, so I had to give it to servise centre.

Hi! Where did you get flash? I tried one but didn't work. Just made the phone freeze. It's the one thing that my phone's missing. Much obliged!

Well, don't quote me, but SE might be waiting to push out Windows Mobile 6.5 rather send out another dodgy ROM or patch.
