I wonder when Accelerometre/Motion Sensors will come to UIQ
I feel that this will come with UIQ4, but UIQ is one/two years away from now, and I know that the

is preparing a UIQ4 flagship..
even thought this is my feel, I wish and hope

bring Accelerometers/Motion Sensors to UIQ sooner than that...

lol what?
Even if you meant UIQ4, no it isnt. As per my understanding, its coming out either late this year (maybe sometime in December) or early next year. So not a year away. Besides, youve seen that SE have been making a UIQ3.3 phone already and thats just about to be announced right after, so it cant be that long till we see UIQ4 implemented. I think it will have accelerometer and some form of gesture control, I expect it to be a UI overhaul.

Very slim chance for a "UIQ4" this year.
Announcement to market time is much greater than 12 months now (infact its twice that in reality).Nokia is just releasing its FP2 devices.
UIQ doesnt have a single UIQ 3.3 device announced.

Yeh sorry I meant UIQ4, my bad
It's just wondering, if UIQ takes this time for a jump from UIQ 3.2 to UIQ 3.3
UIQ 3.1 was announced in Feb. 2007, and in about the same time on 2008 UIQ 3.2 was announced too, UIQ 3.3 followed UIQ 3.2 by very short time ( less that a quarter !! ) considring the time between 3.1 & 3.2...
I'm not talking about 3.0 as it was intended for Symbian 8 and UIQ 3.0 was released 3 years before 3.1 ( damn that was long )
so, if UIQ will sustain a 1 year update time frame for UIQ then we may see the next version of UIQ in early 2009, but is the 3.3 the last version in the UIQ 3.x series ? I mean is the next version of UIQ is UIQ 4.0 or just another UIQ 3.4/.05 ??
BTW, I remeber I read some where that UIQ 3.3 is an update for UIQ 3.2 and that UIQ 3.2 devices ( G900 & G700 are the first UIQ 3.2 ) can be updated to UIQ 3.3 by just software update ( or they may even be launched with UIQ 3.3 rather than UIQ 3.2 as they will launch next month )

The concept must be simmilar to the music keys surrounding the N96 dpad. The keys seems to disappear when you are in a mode that doesn't use it.
In P5, the touch keys seem to include "c" and "menu" keys where they will only light up if their functions are available in the current application.
Just a practical guess...
