A few days ago,
the report was that they were talking. Has the deal been sealed subsequent to that?

Funny how the largest fish are always "evil". MTN Nigeria is evil. Microsoft global is evil. Telkom of South Africa is evil. NITEL Nigeria is/was evil.

Wow! Celtel eventually did the right thing, reduced tariff to 33k per second to all networks. Hoping to hear more juicy details in the "unity" plans.
Where did i drop those my celtel sim cards?

Just saw the details here:
www.ng.celtel.com/en/personal-plans/unity/index.html
I'm not that impressed with peak and off-peak differences.
I'll hold on to my glo.

@Brym: what are the comparative tariffs on Glo? Cos I think Celtel's Simply Smooth is a very good package.

@amby: I can't remember glo's equivalent tariffs.
On postpaid, its 25k/s for on net calls and 37k/s for calls to other networks,

I've migrated to celtel's simply smooth package.
Monthly access fee is N400 and calls are charged at 59k/sec peak and 33k/sec off peak. which means that throughout this weekend, all my calls regardless of which network I'm calling will cost me less than N20 per minute. Plus I get 15 free SMS.
Hmmmm not bad!

Amby e like say we are about to see another round of competition from our gsm operator with this Celtel unity tariff.
But why did it take them this long to lower their tariff?
I will give you a call if only i can find my Celtel sim
@AYA... Is microsoft really evil?
