UPDATE:
The gaming phone will have dedicated gaming buttons and motion sensors. It may be announced on the 11th of February, 2008.
There may be an announcement on the 11th of February, 2008.
The SO905i will not have a 2 step slider design. That was only a concept.

@rss_ndrsn
I forgot to reply to your comment.
I exaggerated my post, intentionally. I did it to make fun of P3i. P3i features are so 2007-ish.
2007-ish? I'm sorry, but I really don't know what else you'd like to see implemented on the phone.
Widescreen? DVB-H (which I still think is not for 2008)? That's the only thing that I can think that would be 2008-ish.
Impractical for those who don't need it!
Do you expect a feature pack phone to cost less?
Impractical for who? It's impractical for Sony Ericsson.
You know what? Appealing to a niche market of people who would spend enough money to buy a good laptop is not good business sense. I never said no one would buy it, but how many do you think they'll sell at >$1000?
If they managed to sell 100,000 phones at that price that'd be amazing. Even so, wouldn't it be better to sell 1,000,000 of them at $800 instead?
Nokia release an upgraded version of N95, the N95-8gb version. Would it affect the sales of, let's say ,N81, or N95?
Well, that's cos the N95 8GB is the successor to the N95. I can guarantee that the N95 will be cut down, or even discontinued to make way for the N95 8GB. That's going to be Nokia's flagship for 2008.
And the N81? Well, that's actually very much crippled compared to the N95 8GB. The camera is its biggest weakness, not to mention screen size.

[...]P3i's specification doesn't live up to what a 2008 high-end phone should have; with the exception of the screen and, maybe, Tri-band HSPDA, as well. The specification is quite a year behind. I expected it to have more advance features such as [b]Wi-fi n[\\b]...
I don't hink you will find Wifi N aytime soon in any handheld device as it would drain the battery very quickly. I'm no engineer but it's said to work over 100m even through walls and at a much higher speed rate than the G norm, meaning the power required would be far greater than what's used on the G protocol. I don't think any hadheld device would have battery efficient enough to consider this option.
For the rest of the specs, you can't really tell if it will be outdated or not. The radio used (quadband UMTS/HSDPA) will have its importance as well as the user interface, the GPU and the CPU which we don't know anything about.

The switch to WM to next year in a new line of phones sounds similar to what Palm did with the 750, and trying to break into the European market more. That move is probably the only thing that is keeping that company afloat now.
SE has little to no presence in America, unfortunately. The release of WM phones may be a break into that market.
I'm gunning for Mooi currently--but I am INCREDIBLY excited for the UIQ Cyber-shot phone, expecially since the K850 has everything I'd want in a phone...sans a touchscreen and GPS, which the UIQ phone will probably have.
I just don't know if I can wait that long.
I'm excited for November, yet don't want to be disappointed in case the P3/Mooi are Euro-only devices. Hopefully by 2008 SE will realize that if they stick 850 in their phones, people over here will buy them.

You people, how sure are you about SE bringing out a WM6 OS phone? Keep in mind SE has the potential to sell many more devices then for example HTC, which means Micro$oft will ask a hefty licence fee for each and every device sold ! I am not so sure SE will be able never mind happy to pay that
On the other hand Uiq has been paid for a few months ago already
