Hey Niranjan & Aditya,
Be cool guys.
We are not here to fight. Our aim is to give & get help. That's all!
Please don't use those bad words in public forums. Instead, use PM.
I hope you understood this.
Thanks.

@alan and all others- do you think there is that i did to start this flame? I give this guy some answer about cid numbers.he doesnt understand what they are inspite of telling him where to find them, gets pschyed up seeing my username (also partially because he cant use the trick and assumes i can), accuses me of being a sadist, resorts to foul language, doesnt give a damn when i try to explain his misunderstanding...what am i to do with this guy

Someone please help him understand
and for all you guys out there with a s40, try connecting from the phone first and then connect from pc, try to access any site from mob, then try surfing on pc. Dont forget to post your result

the nokia 6230 is a s40 phone and it works for me:) . i could connect to my pc with no hassles. i am usin Airtel nop. just one data account seems to be enough . earlier i used to get a ppp protocol error during dialing. but then i figured out that there is some more setting that needs to be configured. thanks to rahul. goto settings>connection>gprs modem settings . . and set the apn to Airtelwap.com. for Airtel live users i presume it should be Airtelfun.com . once i did this the ppp error never appeared and i could connect and surf free internet. the speed was quite outstanding . . . bout 64k! . hope someone finds this info useful:)

Higher end s40 phones like nok 6230 and 6230i have multichannel gprs access. So we r able to use spartan's trick. But nok 6020 etc doesnt support multichannel gprs access.Whether first connected from pc or from phone when we try to use other connection(to access site from phone) it says "QUIT DATA CONNECTION FIRST". @niranjan ur trick doesnt seem to work
