okay two problems discovered:

1) having the phone 'hang', while its acually turned on
2) bluetooth headset crackling sound (I have to keep the headset on THE SAME SIDE of the phone, i.e, if the phone is in my left pocket, and my headset is on my right ear, VERY HIGH crackling sound is audible). I didnt expereince this on any other bonded phone.

any idea?

This is spooky :-| I have a BT Jabra 620 stereo headphone, today while I was listening to some music I kept having intermittent 1 second cuts in the sound while the phone was in my left shirt pocket. Putting the phone in my right shirt pocket the problem went away. Could these two cases be related? Really strange...

It may be phone related...because my HBH-GV435 did not do such a thing when I bonded it with a nokia, samsung and a motorola and even another sony ericsson phones!!

Any idea what the hell is this? Am being patient for the next firmware release but I expect to fina ALL BUGS VANISHED!!

It's a RAM issue with bigger photos, try applying the wallpaper after a fresh restart when the memory's maximum, it's guaranteed to work

You don't have to reflash your handset in order to find out, if it is R6 or not.
Of course, only on condition that the R5 files are still present in your db folder.

Just unplug your P990 fm the cable right before you hit the 'update' button and see, if SEUS skips the download process or not.

if it skips (download screen appears only for 1-2 second): still R5
it it starts downloading fm 1% (and this will take a while): R6

im doing this now, it starts downloading. so this means this is already R6?

i have the latest R5 firmware by the way

and have you performed the previous R5 flash fm the same pc ?

well, let's wait and see..

pls tell us afterwards, whc version it is..

if it is still R5A17, I doubt that the R5 files were there, since SEUS checks, if the files are already present prior downloading them.
