Dont most phones have that call forward active message?I used to get that all the time on my n82.
Also with the mailbox maybe try going back to the main mailbox insteadof just hitting home. It's not like it takes a long time. It only involves moving pressing a key.
I have had mine for a while now and for all those who say after a while you will grow bored of the fancy UI ect...thats BS. I love mine and would not trade it for anything else. I especially love the fact that it's got a battery than can outperform anything else around. I keep trying to rinse out the battery by watching video and surfing and dont even charge it overnight anymore and it still lasts me 2 days. I find myself using emailso much now. PDFs read quite nice on it too.

Bav, I agree it's only a 2 second movement of the fingers, but it's just something that should be added as default by Apple - most if not all other mobiles do this! Most of the times I just check my email and hit the home screen without thinking. Guess I'll just have to get into the habit of going back a screen or 2 first.
But then I'll have to do this to most apps that i use - phone, safari etc!!!
Dicky, regarding the Call Forwarding message. It seems that this is something put in by Apple to just p1SS off people who do not use the allocated networks! So even if you do not forward calls to voicemail you'll get this message come up. I have it switched off in my settings and still get the message everytime I make a call.

@scouser_75
nothing you can do about the "where you left off thing" if anything it's more of a "function/feature" just depends on how you look at it i guess....

if you want you can force quite every app before you exit lol.. i don't think they'll change this.. unless they add a mini home button for every app.
