My recent blog entries on my experience with my X10 Mini Pro... a few shortcomings, I'm hoping they issue the 2.1 or 2.2 update already... and I hope they improve Timescape cuz it has so much potential if they just refine it a bit more.
X10 Mini Pro Battery review
X10 Mini Pro... 5 days in...dead!
X10 Mini Pro keyboard review
X10 Mini Pro App blog
So far I'm extremely happy with my X10 Mini Pro... now if only they came out with a silver battery cover...

you're welcome @iamstevie
there are a few things I'm a bit disappointed in... but they seem to be (hopefully) addressed in the upcoming 2.1 and 2.2 updates.
most of them are software related.
I've also been testing out Google Voice Search and it's pretty decent... it plugs into other apps as well, which I will be reviewing next to really see how reliable and practical (the key word is practical, and not just to show off that your phone can do it when you wanna show your friends how cool your Android phone is... hahahaha) it really is.

Is there any way of making direct dial shortcuts to the homescreen on the X10mini/pro?
The X10 Maxi has this feature but can't find it on the mini.

@angryman, I haven't found an app for that yet... the closest thing is the 'favorites' in the phonebook. You can place the phonebook in one of the corners and assign your favorites. Not quite one-touch, but it's the closest I've found so far. I use Phonebook 2.0, and even though it's a better phonebook... it's not as quick as the default phonebook (as ugly as the UI is) in terms of speed-dialing.
You can try searching the Marketplace using the keyword "Dialer" though.

You can use ADWLauncher on your X10 mini, since it brings the full-fledged Android home screen with many widgets and shortcuts.

I use "Gesture Search" application (frm home screen) for searching contacts / music tracs.
Its a great app.
Just a few letters and you get it !
