Better? difficult to say, I feel the Z1 has better exposure through the entire image. It feels like a normal cybershot image like one would take with a compact camera where as the 1020 image feels over exposed in some areas and underexposed in other. The Z1 photo feels more natural.
Can't wait for the z1 to hit poland, an finally replace my S2.

Can you post 100% crops as images ? From what I'm seeing trees look better on Z1, or have you made a mistake with the file names

I think it's just the differences on how the two handles the metering, 1020 chooses to expose the skies(hence the punchier blue), while Z1 exposes the center frame where the turret is situated. what's weird though is the prominent corner softness visible on 1020 samples by looking at the tree foliage.
