I'm going to get flamed for this, but seriously...

You guys are buying a phone that costs as much as US$900, stuck at two generations old firmware, perhaps never ever able to support multi-touch, cutting off screen protectors to make it look acceptable, can't play the most common games or run the most common apps for your platform of choice...

Jesus Christ, get an iPhone already.

The X10 really seems to be a disaster.

At least I can handle my x10 as I want. I don't want to have instructions of "how to hold your phone" in order to avoid signal loss/dropping calls. Oh I forgot that nice silicon Apple is sharing to solve that problem

FYI, although i'm pretty much like everyone else waiting for this new android update and there are some things im frustrated about, overall i like this phone very much, moreso than my previous iphone 3GS. I also had a look at the iPhone 4, im not particulary excited about it. Im much rather get the ipod touch 4TH gen, even though i had some issue with that as well. I pretty much hate being held down by apple with all those constraints. Btw an unlock or retailed iphone might cost upwards to 900, but thats hardly the price for an xperia x10. It cost 500 at some select online retail store.

Btw, about my question regarding wisepilot, any had an answer? It whether wisepilot will work w/ouf internet via service.

There's the 2.1 update! But no one can use it, cause someone have blocked EMMA!
It's Russian and it's the A version, but hey!

Either changed the password or blocked the account to EMMA (SEUS Pro)...

Hi RickyD
Do you know which features will be back ported from 2.2?

I don't have a back up/restore widget on my home screen.... weird, no?

How will I back up all my apps and settings before I update to 2.1?

Update: Hmmm, for once managed to find relevant info on the SE Support Forum.

Xperia™ X10
To download the latest version:

From the Home screen, find and tap Browser.
Press the Menu key and tap Go.
Tap the text bar and enter m.sonyericsson.com/backup.
Tap Go.

Did this but got a HTTP Status 550 message that it was unsupported. FFS
