yeah, but the Iphone at least provides the features it tell the user!
SE promises a lot, but the K850i is the perfect example...

I'd have to disagree with you - the X1 is is Fully developed by SE and built by HTC.

Well, that in itself really isn't the hardest thing in the world for Apple to do, considering its feature set is nothing compared to K850.

Hey,
BROD stands for Blue Ring of Death, a random bug on the K850.
If you have a brod, only the keyboard lights up with the camera light when turning on the phone. A BROD can still occur to any firmware out there right now, so almost every k850 user is waiting for a new (stable and fast) firmware to come out.
The last statement is 100% incorrect. BROD can ONLY occur on firmwares R1EA031 and above. R1DA038/39 are the last BROD safe firmwares, however they have low battery life reportedly. I'm sticking with R1CA037 and haven't had a BROD since I flashed back to it over 3 months ago, I did however have BROD with 031 (twice). BROD does not affect 100% of the K850's out there, but if you've had it with one firmware, chances are that you'll have it with the next or again with the same until SonyEricsson fixes the issue.
My first BROD was with R1CA029 , so it isn't incorrect, I was talking about my personal experience too, and im sure it could happen to all firmware's released out now.

That's sad, I got my K850 just to realize that S.E. made ourselves some kind of guinea pigs testing this phone for them.
I mean, I really love all the features but simply I can't stand paying US$500 to have a bricked phone with no reason at all (BROD) or simply buy a phone for X price today and have it discontinued just a couple of months later...
Come on, S.E. is not doing things right.
To make this thing clear LG surpassed S.E. in % of selling phones...
S.E. is clearly going the same way of Motorola, correct me if I'm wrong.

I think that way too. Same old designs, and it's unfortunate their flagship phone failed so miserably. We cannot expect SE to continue to have new phones shipped with so many bugs. It may be OK back then since so many new things were being added like improved cameras, colour displays, etc, but we're in a new age of technology now. Things like this simply cannot flop so easily.
