Nexus 5/ S4 active/Optimus G2 are no threat to One Sony. No 2013 phone will come close to One Sony overall. One or two phones may come close or match in one area but they will lose out heavily in other areas to one sony.
Nokia EOS will probably match One sony in camera performance, but has no 1080p screen and runs WP8. Nuff said
LG Optimus G2 has S800 chip but will use a trash camera again and same specs as Optimus G Pro apart from CPU.
Nexus 5......... again not a threat in any area except CPU and performance.

I don't have an informed answer to your question, but I would have to imagine the answer is yes. Electricity + water do not work well together. At the very least I would imagine they would use the same sort of port flaps found on the Z. I guess it's always possible they could come up with a better method of protecting the ports, but I doubt we'll get any info on that anytime soon.
I do wonder about wireless charging though. Will they adopt Qi charging as it seems to be a pretty popular standard, or will they stick with the dock connectors?

The Nexus 5 has a more powerful and better camera relative to what? The Nexus 4? Or the One Sony?
