Just wanted to ask if any of u guys know for sure when will 3G be introduced in India? Any inside info?
The reason i'm asking is that i am deciding whether to go for either the "coming soon" z800 or the w800 SE model as my next phone...
z800 is a 3G phone, but if 3G isn't going to come to India for the next year or so, it makes no sense buying it now - as it will be outdated by then and i don't want to be stuck with an infantile 3G phone when better phones will be in the market.
So i might as well go for the w800i, instead, for now...
Any advice?

Right, Well our TRAI is not really ready to start handing out 3G licences to the teleco's yet. However, the phone manufacturers are selling 3G handsets in India since November of last year (the 6630 has been available since then).
will also roll out its new 3G Handsets here along with the rest of the world. You can buy the handset and get comfy, cause the TRAI ain't in no hurry to give 3g to us jus' yet.
