Had to borrow an old desktop PC just to do firmware updates.

Does the Exchange ActiveSync implementation on the M600i support Always Up To Date (AUTD), ie Microsoft's quasi-push solution? If so, do you end up seeing the SMS notifications or is the solution more seamless?

Has anyone tried Opera 9 on M600 yet? Is it even compatible with the M600?
The included browser is an Opera browser:
Opera Mobile is the default browser on Sony Ericsson's M600 3G phone
Oslo, Norway - February 7, 2006
Opera Software today announced that Sony Ericsson's new 3G smartphone, the M600, will ship with Opera Mobile as its default browser.

yeah, its mentioned in the press release shown in the first post of this thread.
However thats opera 8 and downtown was interested in version 9
I've been looking around a bit today and can't find any reference to opera 9 for UIQ yet.
has anyone seen something about it? I'd be surprised if it was available separately anyway and would expect it to come in a firmware update

Can't help I'm afraid - but that's really weird. I got my phone from the same shop, did the firmware update immediately and have sent over 100 message without any issues at all.
Edited to add: perhaps try using one of the other ways of sending a message. There seem to be quite a few different ways of doing so. (from the top-left menu, from a contact, from messaging...)

its been a week since I got mine and I have not received anything from Fedex asking for the import duties, as I normally would, so perhaps I'll get away with it
the item was marked with the price I paid
