Music playback is very good but the standard headphones are average - Listening to my V640i with SE headphones is marginally better SQ. A friends Sennheiser headphones had much better bass than the standard iPhone fare.

Video playback is superb. I used AnyVideoConverter (freeware) to convert my wife's Sony Handycam videos to iTunes friendly MPEG-4 and they look great on the big 3.5" screen. Possibly the best at video playback that there is IMO but iPod Touch will do the same. The photo album function is great too, my V630i/V640i 2Mp photos look stunning on the iPhone screen. If only the iPhone 2Mp shots looked half that good...

As for Media Player comparison, the iPhone is great but is handicapped by awkward iTunes sync (if you don't have a Mac) while A200 is a gem IMO but seems somehow boring without Apple's multi-touch interface and big screen. iTunes does sync faster than my V640i in Mass Storage Mode though.

Multimedia is the iPhones big strength, it's in other areas that SE kicks it's butt.

There are 23 Graphic Equaliser presets in the Settings menu not the iPod Application.
Settings > iPod > EQ > choose your setting

Oh oh! I think I may have a dodgy iPhone after all!

My wi-fi has gone. When I click on Settings the wi-fi option is greyed out and says No Wi Fi. I've tried re-booting etc but none of this is working.

It did work for me last night when I downloaded some Apps. But then turned the phone off and when I turned it on the problem began.

I've tried also to Google a solution but out of the few solutions out there none of them worked.

Has anyone else experienced this? Or does anyone know a fix?

Worst comes to the worst, just try doing a restore in itunes and see if that fixes the problem

I done a re-store yesterday and the phone became locked again :-0

But thankfully I had a back-up and so re-stored using back-up - which saved my skin

I think I may just wait till a new firmware comes out and see if that fixes it!

When did you buy yours? Can you still take it back to O2/CPW?

Unfortunately no can do. I bought the phone off a bloke who bought it from Italy So Apple will not do a replacement here. I'd have to get it done in Italy!

I'm just hoping this is some kinda firmware issue :-I

Is it one of the ones that were factory unlocked?
