I'm curious about the WLAN radio - hoping support for dual band 802.11N on 5ghz not just 2ghz and ability to use both frequencies simultaneously. Something I've enjoyed on my iphone4/ and now 4S (grey market purchase).

Sorry to burst your bubble, but according to this http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html, IPhone 4S only supports the 2.4 GHz band for 11n. Same goes for Xperia S according to white paper.

Where have you read IPhone 4S supports 11n at 5 GHz ?

Thanks for the bubble pop I think. I was under the impression that since my TimeCapsule showed by iPhone 4S as 802.11n 2.4/5Ghz I was using that vs my girlfriends iPhone 4.

At least I have some solace that iP4S has: Assisted GPS and GLONASS like Sony Xperia ION.

Either way ... unless iPad 3 announces something BIG with features that can be better used on iPhone 5/next ... then I feel Android is close to mature enough with Sony's (and previous ) NXT UI that I'll feel less overwhelmed with Settings location and core useful productivity apps that I'm used to on iP4. I can honestly say that Google NEEDS Sony for their unique NXT UI and Media powerhouse.

I'd LOVE to hear news of a Sony based Nexus in generation 4/5 - but ION seems like it'll be it.
Right now I can choose ION/S ... I can use BOTH on all 3 major providers where I live and get full benefit of radios offered; I just need 3 capacitive buttons on iON not 4 (AT&T model).
^ I still cannot find an official picture showing global ION with 3 buttons.
