The way some of the guys at XDA change phones, they make Bonovox look normaĺ
ive seen some of them go through EVERY SINGLE Android high end amongst the popular manufacturers e.g. GS3, One X, Xperia S, LG Optimus 4X, Galaxy Nexus to Nexus 4 in one year, pure madness.

Phones are getting a little too much like PCs in this way. I got sick of constantly upgrading my PCs years ago and went into PS3 gaming.
Mind you, i think my SGS3 will be future proof for the full term of its contract so thats something that'll hold fine with me.
But then again, i found out the job i went to an interview for i got a couple of days ago, so im getting a massive pay rise come the new year which will mean i will be able to buy a sim free SGS4 next year anyway. I might even buy an iPhone 5.

I used to know a guy who worked at Phones4U and he had 8 phone contracts. He always had to have the latest handset. Me thinks that's a little OTT. That's alot of money to pay out each month. It was in the days before Android he was doing that ain't seen him for years. He's probably got 365 contracts now

So true, i never even bothered with PCs, got a nice Acer laptop in 2008 and that was it.
Congrats on the new job!
Apparently the S4 is going to be quite the beast, 4.99inch HD1080P Super AMOLED, Exynos 5, 13MP Camera and 2GB RAM, should be well worth getting sim free.

I hope though soon Sammy will do one thing for me,change their designs a little. Still great phones but I find their designs so drab. I wish they did the Wave 2 design in metal in a flagship.

But like i said, at the same time i dont really do much with my phone thats intensive on the specs such as gaming.
I play a bit of Minecraft pocket edition and thats it. I find touch screen controls too hard to use in games which needs reflexes. So, even with its specs, i might NOT NEED the S4 especially if Samsung dont do much in the innovation department like Apple did with the iPhone 4S and 5.

I like Samsung's designs, but i certainkty wouldnt mind some metal on my phone. In a way, Samsung reminds me of BMW, ive been driving a relatives BMW X3 3.5IS (bi-turbo, 300hp) recently, incredible car, has every feature under the sun including TV and a rear view reverse camera, and its incredibly powerful, BUT, build quality isnt the greatest, theres a lot of plastic and fake metal, its durable but you dont get the same expensive feeling as you do when you get into e.g. Range Rover or Jaguar. Its the same with Samsung, its almost as if they spend a lot more time and money focusing on performance and features, personally i dont mind, but i wouldnt complain if they put more into build and design.

Same here, im not a mega gamer, all i really play is Angry Birds and Super K.O. Boxing
but i am interested in buying Grand Theft Auto Vice City when it comes out next month, purely for nostalgia, was my favourite game when i 1st got my PS2 in 2003, i was only 13
but i do watch/Download a lot of YouTube vids in HD, watch HD movies if i cant sleep and also heavy web browsing, so any sort of upgrade in GPU and screen is a great thing in my eyes.

The one area i would like some innovation next is battery life. I can literally run my SGS3 flat in a couple of hours of Minecraft. Without a charger nearby i cant play Minecraft for long otherwise the phone wont see me through the day.
The screen is the biggest culprit every time.
