Memories... those were the bigger bands during the early 90s, the LA 105 days, the 3rd wave of Pinoy rock! Even the metallic ones were played on the radio - Dahong Palay/Backdraft.
It was the first time that my favorite Pinoy band ever, the Wuds, got decent distribution, so Pinoy rockdom was blessed with At Nakalimutan Ang Diyos, followed by Oplan Kahon (old songs re-recorded) and the prog-punk-Indian albums, Gera and Nakaupo sa Puso.
Late 90s naman, daan muna sa Nizzle Dazzle, bili ng Death, Enslaved, Emperor, Mayhem, Morbid Angel. Andun lagi si Ronald ng KNK. Very intelligent guy.
And whatever happened to Mass Carnage???

bobby balingit (the wuds) was one of the guys who influenced me in my first band, who was incidentally the uncle of the our drummer that time. most of my guitar effects i bought from him.
i also got to jam with dahong palay last year a club 106 in vito cruz. we played acoustic versions of "the police" songs and "u2".
