Hi guys, any idea when the new firmware is going to be out?
I am having to restart mine daily as it becomes unusable...
Why?
It's definitely connected with WHAT you have installed!
Mine is R1, 4 months and is almost perfect.
Software can really screw WM devices, especially the one which is not well done.

Doministry is quite right there, my X1 was awful until I did a hard reset. That was some months ago, and I suspected SBP Shell (not the panel version) to cause the problems.

iphone is more expensive than the X1 when they stand toe-to-toe, both sim free, the X1 is better hardware for less money. Right now, paying £100 or more difference for little to no lag is out of the question for many. Its difficult enough to justify buying the X1. hahaha.
Anyway, anyone know anything about the next upgrade (R3A is what XDA Devs are calling it)? Mizz? You insider ppl? Anyone?
Anyone think SE will allow us to upgrade to WM6.5 when it comes out in a month or so?

It doesn't matter whether they allow us to or not. We will regardless.

In case anyone hadn't noticed, there are a few new panels available from the SE site today.

Great, thanks.
EDIT.
They're available for weeks.

The Skype one wasn't. An early version was put up that probably wasn't supposed to be there and was pulled but was put up again.

Hi, I'm looking to switch over to the X1. I have a c905 and love the camera but i do a lot of text. But last time I looked at the X1 it was a bit laggy just wanted to know if they fix it and if it is a good switch from a c905 to a x1?

Without XDA then what would you do?

Well I am hoping SE will be kind enough to the buyers of the very, very expensive X1 to give us an upgrade which fully lives up to the promise of the device we wanted when we bought it. Given that those who bought the X1 are either business users, or rather uncompromising techys, it is unsuprising that the latter will try to find a way to get this upgrade.
I would like the upgrade, but I want it to be official. Realistically speaking, I think it is more likely that SE will announce and release a new WM device this year running WM6.5, but won't offer upgrades to X1 users. In that case, I would be pretty sure that XDA Devs would port to the X1.
Even more realistically though, here we are still waiting for the R3A ROM and CNN Panel...
...At least I hear the upgrade is really worth it though
