Are we still comparing the redicolously large brick that Nokia call a "mobile" phone N93 to the sleek K800i?

Actually, Nokia does not refer to ANY of their phones as such - they refer to them as "multimedia computers" ->Check this out<

Well them guys at Nokia can live on in their little world of "multimedia computers". I'm not saying that Nokia or the N93 are bad products, just that you can't really compare the probably 7000 SEK N93 weighing in at almost a fifth of a kilo(!) with the 4000 SEK K800i at 90 gram.

It's like doing a boot space comparison with a Ferrari and a H2 - you just pack more in the Hummer, but you have to sit in that ugly thing too...

A bit more seriously - optical zoom is hard to put in such a small device with all the other components needed to make it a phone. Small sacrifice IMO. Video is the buzz - seems SE is lagging behind here, but I'm sure they'll catch up. FOR ME I don't care about video recording and mp3/music, I got other devices for that. But I do see the coolness of it. =)

And what's this about build quality? I always thought of SE coming out on top here, except a few mishaps. My Nokias ALWAYS broke down, THE main reason I stopped even thinking about buying one...
Well, maybe they put them together nowadays - I won't put my hard earned cash on trying tho - especially not on a bloody brick!

Sad enough, fellas like me who was looking (or expecting) for a all-round phone from se is disappointed.
video is one thing, but another thing i was really expecting was the piscel viewer or similar soft pre-installed like the net front browser for viewing pdf, word, excel files.
Se hasnt given us much choice either.

Will a 2g sim work in a 3g mobile?

Don't think that it will. You need a special sim for that. But you could wait for K790 if you want a Cyber-Shot Phone.

It depends on how your service provider has locked your handset.

For example...an unbranded Z1010, Z800 YES !
...a 3 branded Z800 NO!
...a Telia branded Z1010 YES !
