I knew someone would spot that and I was almost tempted to edit it out!

there are two disabled spots in that area but there are no disabled people that ever use them (its at a mates place), so they are just treated as regular parking spots.

however, I was there for just a few mins for the taking of the pics for the MR2 MK1 club, as you can probably judge from the fact I'm not totally in the spot (just half in, half out)

anyway, twas a nice day for doing this car stuff! not sure we'll get another w/e like this for a while

@fatreg, whats your, er, brum brum?

as long as it was a 2 minute stop big m! I often pull people up on the fact they are parked in disabled places at super markets, shops etc etc, and no, I'm not no goody two shoes but my father was disabled and when you see a space filled with a none disabled person it sorts of gets your back up, people often give 2 sorts of reply, a sh!t I'm sorry I'll move it or a what you gonna do about it look, in which case not a lot but don't be worried when you get back to your car and your tires have no air!

my little brum brum is only a wee Corsa D, getting ready for the winter with it, it had a proper wax and polish today.. I'll go snap some pics...

well I'm with you on that and never take disabled spots normally, though I do hold back form actually having a go at others.

I doubt my toy-ota will get much play during the winter unless its a dry weekend. its 21 years old but in excellent nick with just 60,000 miles and always garaged now so hopefully it will stay the way it is

so on days like these it gets more love and attention than the mrs!

I really thought a Corsa was something different! I didn't realise they'd modernised them to this extent.

there was a time when the Vauxhall Corsa was imported to Australia and called the Holden Barina, but I guess that was the previous incarnation of the Corsa.

looks like you've put as much elbow grease into it as I have, but I'm trying to keep mine as original as possible so not too many changes although I'm about to change the induction system for a more modern K&N jobby but I still have even the original radio casette, alloys, etc etc and it still goes like the pocket rocket it was all those years ago!

btw, a Michael Caine signed version of the Italian Job sounds cool... one of my all time favourite movies

ah, but do you have any tapes to put in the cassette player?

I had one of the old incarnations of Corsa but decided I'd do;

to it!

ahh... K&N filters, dead good but don't expect any noticeable difference in performance at all.. it may only add about 1-3bhp to your pocket rocket....

oops!

remember I'm an oldie and yep, I do have a few tapes still.. even the original "now thats what I call music" on double cassette, but also my GPS has an FM transmitter and plays mp3 etc, and the reception on the radio is great! shame about hte 3/2" front and 4" rear speakers (might change those sometime)

the Mk1 club suggest the measured performance improvement from the Mk1 K&N kit is about 5-8bhp due to the cold air feed hose it comes with, but the biggest improvement apparantly is the sound (yeah!)

if there a big following of these latest Corsa? I remember from previous threads here that the previous Corsa's were popular for customising and improving performance

Nicely debadged Reg, if you play your stereo loud enough, you might drown out the derv rattle and convince people it's an SRI

is it a straight cold air feed? a la flying spur? Now 1 on tape? my sweet lord, thought it was on a 12" only, there's a largish following with the corsa D, it's very big for modding in Germany and Poland the car isn't as it was though, the new Corsa is a lot roomier than it's predecessor and as such is a larger car, no longer a hot hatch, more of a meaty mortgage, but aye, the sound from a K&N filter can be rather good indeed, My bro has a K&N filter with a straight through steel exhaust, sounds real nice for a little seat....

Mweb... it's a petrol sxi.. I don't see the point of the sri, it's near as damn it the same price as the vxr...?

oops sorry reg, with you coming from Doset n all, i thought the D that you mentioned meant the dreaded Derv , it's the model designation i now realize, very nice, classy little cars them, just a pity from my perspective that a folded pram wont fit in the boot, or i'd have one myself.
Very nice "almost classic" Toyota too Masseur
