Tough break there, Brix. As long as you're enjoying what you're doing though, it's all good.

@Wanqa, geez boet, the competition's really tight on your side of the big water! I can imagine the frenzy we'd have here if similar promotions were to be offered...

@Francois, are you still ok? That St.Patrick's pie doesn't sound too kosher...

Nope, im going to side with this monday being excruciating. I lost my boyfriend and a very close friend today, and a thick, morbid, cynical gloom is descending.

@francois, its strange. When i get mildly depressed i work excellently and am consistently driven. Its nothing when compared to the focus and power of manic episodes, but its got a lot more stamina!

@ Kryptik, competition is indeed a good thing, but SA's data rates still make a mockery of the UK networks' data rates, hence I post 95% of the time from a PC.

A few cellphone pics taken with da wanqsta's Nokia 7600 and P900 at the memorable Rammstein gig at the Astoria in London:
(cue Beavis's voice: "Fire--Fire--Fire!")

Taken with my Nokia 7600 at the Killswitch Engage gig at The Brixton Academy in London, high up in the balconies of the theatre and this time far from the madding crowd in the moshpit.

This is what i love about gloomy weather and my phone and the guitar-i sat outside watching rocketboom for a good hour or so, then started working on a tune on the guitar that has been stuck in my head for a couple of days. using vibe, a midi composer on my phone i quickly had the tune going. now i can work on more original riffs for it. this is a more punky song, but like i said, i am varied.

(gotta remember to use russian opera)

this is for me what technology is about. the ability to be able to creatively express yourself wherever you are, and use it to help you advance in your skills. my musical skills have really improved since i got this phone. i made a good choice:)

@francois

I play guitar (not lately, had to sell it. But I'll but I better one soon) and sing. I've been in 2 or 3 bands in my time. Mostly an altrnative rock/pop thing (However my voice allows me to go).

And I believe that due to the fact that BEE has been going on for 12 years now, and leaves no real opportunity for overseas companies to freely have a crack at the SA market, the way they see fit, it has forced us into a kind of semi depression where local music being expendable has been shirked in favour of more BEE schemes and so on.

Been trawling the internet but can't find article which appeared in Business Report a couple of weeks back where Cell C's new CEO Jeffrey Hedberg said there were no plans for the network to introduce 3G...so it will be EDGE for the forseeable future.
