hi there!
could someone please help me with one problem?

I downloaded a SMS sound on my PC, and transferred it to X1 in "ringtone folder" but I couldn't find any option to set that sound as my "incoming text message" sound. That sound also wasn't in "Sounds and notification > notifications" folder.

Put it in the Windows folder

I have been using Android on my X1 for a while now, mostly 2.0.1 and 2.1 Eclair.

Its awesome, a nice change from WinMo. At XDA Developers they are working tiresly to develop a fully functioning android OS for X1, always improving, at a very stead rate over last month or two but a few small issues remain.

You use a linux boot loader to load an image of the Andriod OS, you can install apps, do what ever you want.

Current issues are inaccurate power management with battery getting hot, no GPS, most versions iv used bar one can not send text message, can receive however, no camera.

It is worth checking out if your game, though there is no harm done to the X1, it does not modify WinMo.

Once its a perfectly functioning OS i may consider using it full time.

I'm sorry for being really lazy and not reading the whole 502 page thread to see if this has been answered but how easily can the X2 ROM be flashed to an X1? The hardware is pretty much the same isn't it?

Impossible? Surely you just mean difficult. I've seen videos of android on the X1 so it can't be impossible to get the X2 FW cross flashed. I was hoping one of you guys had done this already and could offer me a quick and easy fix up..

Of course I meant just difficult

Actually at xda-developers you'll find many WM 6.5 ROM's for X1!
