I had the same problem than you, but now it is solved.
I used the service menu and re-formatted the internal disk (of course you loose all your data).
After that I installed again the new FW.
I did not use the old back-up for recovering my data, I synchronized instead, because in the case that you have any bug, this bug would be transferred again to your new installation.

is that bug still there, the one that cant detect if you have current firmware...?

that damn bug has demoralized me. i used to enjoy checking SEUS every now and then to see if a firmware update was available, but no, not anymore.

Now i fear to tread anywhere near it.

I think I've had too much to drink tonight.. i gotta crash

SE should have been able to correct this problem with a small incremental upgrade to the update program. Unless they are still not aware of it ??

how come they are not aware of it??? i imagine there are people at SE that use SE phones, and update them through SEUS lol

besides, i already talked about it 2 times at the SE devs forum, i specially adressed Johan and Thomas Bailey

Thomas Bailey, btw, works at SE devs, and is authour of 2 blogs:

http://thomasbailey.blogspot.com/

and

Whats annoying is for us, who watch this forum for new updates it doesn't really matter because someone will mention when there actually is a new firmware. But for just normal users who just check every now and then for a new version will update for no reason, maybe over and over again!!
