@Del,

Yep I've decided to keep my pre-order, was thinking of the HTC Touch Diamond but can't get over the crappy looking Windows. And as the G900 has the same base OS as the P990 and P1i I would think all the sat nav software will work like Tom Tom which I currently use on my P1i.

@apolloa

Cheers mate, I got tomtom on my N95 and It's the only app I use nearly every day so lets hope it runs on this

im not sure when it will be released(maybe >500 knows more then me..).. but ive imported mine(im from melbourne)
and you could possibly do the same if your intending to buy it outright, if not you might have to wait a while as no store has any mention of the g900
Biggest thing now coming next thursday/friday to melbourne is the iphone 3g..

Is it possible to open .sis files with SE G900?

yes but the sis file must be intended for uiq 3,,
it wont work if the sis file runs on a nokia,as that the for s60 build.

It appears as if I've busted my touchscreen, I sent an SMS in the rain and now it's dead. Anyone know where I can buy a new screen?

QUESTION ABOUT CHARGIN THE BATTERY OF G900

I tried to charge my G900's battery for the first time when the phone was turned OFF. Well, when I plugged the charging cable in the G900 kinda turned itself on by loading the "system loading bar" to about 80%. After that the backlight did NOT turned off but remined on with about 30% brightness.

Why does the G900 do this when it is charged when turned off? Is it a malfunction? It bothers me becuase it disturbs when trying to sleep in a dark room and so on. And also does this happening eat the backlight's life?

Why the hell this nice backlight remains on when the G900 is charged when turned off? Fuuukckckfkckck.

simple solution to this turn the phone face down when going to sleep, then you dont see any light from it

Seriously though while charging my one at night the light goes off, but that is maybe because I leave my phone on while charging rather than off...

My G900's backlight turns off when the phone is charged when on, too. But the light doesn't turn off when the phone is off. Could you please kindly try to charge your G900's battery when the phone is OFF and tell me does your backlight remain on with approximately 30%? Thanks!
