Disappointing show in my opinion. The minis are very interesting, but they seem to have very low battery life when looking at the specifications, something I hate. No, my personal favorite device from SE this year definitely is the Vivaz! Too bad it's still S60 and its MSRP is way higher here in Holland than in other parts of Europe it seems, at € 499!

Definitely too much for me.
I just hoped for some good mid-high end (feature) phones, but perhaps an event like this isn't the right time to annouce those. Oh well.
I do like what I hear about continuous software updates though.
I hope Nokia won't disappoint.

Seriously I love it!!!
its not exactly killing it, but it could open a new market segment. there was always demand for something like an iphone nano(can anyone remember the P200 rumors back then

or the hype around the N1(which compares in size)) . not everyone wants to have a nearly 4inch screen in his pocket, but companies were constantly pushing in this direction. the hands-on video @se-first.com shows that the UI works(which can't be taken for granted at this size) so i'm holding my thumbs for the x10mini.

The original X10 still interests me the most. I hope it is released in
early March!! I'm thinking that having a couple more Android phones (the Robyns) will motivate SE to give all versions of the X10s updates to newer Android OS revisions. Only time will tell I guess.

Wasnt the TouchPro almost identical to the X1 hardware wise? And didnt the TouchPro come out before X1?
X1 was okay, but you had the 2yearold E90 at the time that had a better CPU, and larger screen. Wouldnt say X1 was realy ahead, but realy was refreshing in terms of design compared to other WMs thats for sure.
TPro 2 was quite some time after X1.
X1 was almost on par with TPro 1.
TPro 1 had for instance much lower screen resolution.
As for E90 - AFAIK it had weaker processor than X1 platform.
330 MHz ARM processor.
And that was not a touch screen.

Yes, TP1 AND X1 both corrected something the other didnt have lol, i would have picked X1 anyway.
What i meant by E90 having a better CPU was because it had a TI OMAP2420 with PowerVR MBX Graphics Acceleration which was the best in ARM11, yet ran at lower frequency: 332mhz.
Anyway sorry for being offtopic.

The Vivaz Pro looks very nice, but I still think that the X10 Minis are ugly phones. I expected more to be honest... Let's hope SE has something WM7 up their sleeves.

Any news on when the Vivaz will be rolled out and its pricing? Can we still expect it to be priced around 380 euros as speculated?

i just printed out a X10mini & pro 3D paper model to get a feeling for its size - and man, the size is amazing - even shorter then my T650. you hear about it, but you don't realize until you get a comparison.

the only disappointment is....this yr portfolio is focused on 2 industrial design but well now we have to hope the content...hardware and software part of it is good.
but well another nice thing is.... for those who dislike vivaz without qwerty keypad...now they have an option...those who dislike big phone like x10....they have mini and mini pro
now makes me wonder will Apple also planning a small size iPHONE hehe
well X10 is the iPHONE killer but iPHONE got nothing to take on x10mini
btw....x10 mini feel like neonode N1 or N2

I too was disapointed. I feel going this route, Nokia duplicate and reduce pricing for another segment, is NOT the way to go. Woah,

... cut up the X10 into a Mini, a Mini Pro, and make the Vivaz a Pro too; yet reduce all their ability's except the VPro ... right. Well many will sell I'm sure and for the lower end SE needs to completely revamp that endeavor. We'll see what they have planned for WinMo7 Series.
