Marketingwise, QuadCore is definitely an advantage. Not so sure about performance though, from what I understood a dualcore processor on A15 base is at least as performant as a Quadcore using A9 cores due to the fact that A9 is not optimized for quadcore operation. Can only repeat myself though: I generally have no idea about processor architecture etc. (and therefore I'd fall for the marketing thing too

Why is Rog closing his site

I think the problem for Sony, HTC, LG, Motorola etc is that Samsung controls so much of its own destiny since they produce their own processors, displays etc. The chip to watch out for maybe isn't the Tegra 3 but Samsung's 5250, based on ARM's A15 with the Mali T604 GPU, Samsung has stated it will be mass produced at 2Q2012 (2GHz using a 32nm process ). but it will go into tablets first. Here's a recent rumor:

ehh... I mean if it able to run fully utilize power of quad core, shipping with quad I don't think that would mean to be a native support.
I doubt if we will follow the same route as it gingerbread ran on dual-core again!

If time allows, sure. But that has become a rare good lately, so we'll see...

Upcoming Qualcomm MSM8960 GPU benchmark score surfaces
Transformer Prime with TEGRA 3 came in AT 50.4 fps in NenaMark2 while the MSM8960 got a 54.9.
1280 x 800 resolution vs. 1024 x 600.
based on the scores the performance is very close.

Do you have a source for that statement ? What exactly do you mean ? Are you saying only 2 cores will be used at any given time ? I think you're just plain wrong here. Multi-core support was added in Android 3.0, here's the source:

Here's a review from almost one year ago:

Here's a performance test that shows more than 2 cores are being used:

ICS has support for multiple core with full hardware acceleration, multiple cores support was introduced with honeycomb.
