You can prove that the 808 Pureview and Xperia Z1 were configured the same way ?
To prove further that this test is bogus, none of the images published is allowed to download the original file !
Why is that ?
Maybe because the images were manipulated to favor the new Sony !
Answer: Absolutely !
Understand citizen, credibility test methodology is explained and the original files available for download !
So unless indeed much less... Xperia Z1 is infinitely less than the 808 Pureview in absolutely all situations !
P.S: Remember...
808 has better lenses (
Zeiss Vario Tessar Wide Angle 26mm) !
808 is bigger and better image sensor (
Toshiba FSI 1/1.2") !
808 has better post processing (
Technology Pureview) !
808 has better pixels (
4,89 Microns In Mode Pureview)
808 has better flash (
Xenon 3rd generation) !
P.S: Even 808 Pureview is better for
night shots !
Simply set the resolution of 8 MP mode pureview, just activate the neutral density filter and set the ISO sensitivity to 400 or 800 (with this team could be defined exposure 2,7 seconds), it easily surpasses the Z1 in any night scene with the added peace of mind !

I lot of fanboys will claim that the Z1 is better than the 808... but anyone that knows at least a little bit about how imaging works and what good IQ really is will know better.

I think the Z1 will take good pictures, but when it really counts the 41mp higher resolution will always win.
