when did slovakia join the EU?
when was the euro introduced?
How many countries have started using the euro after the first european roll-out?

I have no idea when Slovakia joined the EU, actually I was only vaguely aware that it had.

Was the euro introduced in 1999?

I think there were ten countries who adopted the euro after it was launched.

slovakia has joined the eu in may this year.. we do not use uero yet.. and i think we will start to use it in 2006..

For a country to join the "Euro Zone" it has to meet some rules. Like no inflation above x%, no deficit above 3%, etc...
It's called the "Stability Pact" (free translation from Portuguese, don't know the real name).
