Just got back from the braai. My friend Dale has a telescope and as it was a relatively clear night with full moon, he decided to haul the thing out and observe some lunar landscape details.
Just for kicks, I decided to try and take a few pics with the phone, with the phone's cam lens peering into the telescope's aperture (which can be seen in one of the pics) until a half-decent focus of the Moon appeared.
Both pics were taken with my P900, as I didn't have the 3230 with me, so I really wasn't expecting much, but some detail of the Moon surface's nuances was at least picked up; I'm just sorry that I never had a better camera-equipped phone with me...methinks upgrade time is nearer than what I originally planned...!

Not half bad, Wanqa, those pix came out rather well!
Bachelor party ended without incident, thank heavens. I put the groom and company to bed a few hours ago, slightly the worse for wear. They call it the "water of life", but judging from the snoring emanating from inside it's a misnomer!
I spent the rest of the evening (morning?) reading, and right now i'm watching a glorious sunrise with a mug of coffee in my hand. Looks like another scorcher over here, mense. Gotta haul out the sunblock. To think, i shaved the noggin just two days ago, ek gaan mos lekker bak!
Finally convinced my phone that it CAN upload images to Esato

Nice pic there of the Red Label...always wondered why you never posted pics...on my phone I simply go to the full html version of esato and upload the usual way since my phone can be considered a computer according to Nokia's marketing hype.

Whenever i tried to upload via Netfront or Opera Symbian i'd get error messages, using both Esato Lite and full html. Finally discovered that if i uploaded to the full html version from my phone's browser, of all things, it would go thru as smoothly as could be! Wonders will never cease!
Any comment on the rugby, folks? Twas nail-biting here yesterday, if i had any hair i would've pulled it out by the handful...

@da krypsta: As a closet WP support I'm quite down this morning, actually I had an early evening last night...cooked some dinner for myself and a friend...mind you the weather was quite gloomy- it still is.
EDIT: I'm just looking at that pic of the Johnny Walker again and have to say it's quite nice...you might want to upload it to the Photo section.

Nice pic, O Kryptik One. Your Nokia certainly picked up the colour spectrum of both indoors and out well; none of the 'white balance' fussiness that one occasionally faces.
Hopefully when the groom and groom's entourage awake, they don't find and transform Mr.Walker into the 'hair of the dog' ...
@ da brixsta,
Hope you and your ex are making some headway and sorting things out; I obviously don't know who you dined with last night- it's none of my business and I sincerely don't mean to pry, but I'm sure I could say that on behalf of all of us that we hope that you're managing to steer Da Brixsta ship through the turbulent issues in your path...there must be ways to navigate through them if both parties want it to happen!
Carpe diem, mfowethu!

@ da wanqsta: Yes, I did dine with her but right now we're taking things vry slowly...I'm certainly in no rush...like the Afrikaans saying goes: Honger hond brand sy mond...we're just getting re-aquainted with one another.

Yes, I know the expression well, and I'm sure your efforts will not go unnoticed, even if it is a long, protracted road that still lies ahead.
At the end of the day, as another saying goes, what price happiness?

I could have gone to the rugby yesterday, but yeah, i was sleeping, so i skipped that one. So who do you guys think will who next week?
Converting more tv shows so i can watch it on my phone later. Helps a lot, there are a few good tv series out there that i would not get the chance otherwise to watch.

A few pics taken in the local Carphone Warehouse and one of the Virgin megastores, with the long-suffering P900:
White K610i...overpriced here IMO, even with the included airtime offer:
