thanks!
I bought my third w910--unbranded ..and it is fine!
the firmware is R1CA029
I have had lots of probñlems with the SE manager though--had to erase it and reinstal it three times before I coul actually put music in the card!
I must say the two previous oines wee branded by Movistar(Spain) and had to return one and flash the other(then I sold it).

well, again, my new SE is not oerfect!
after ONE day of careful light use, the slider is completely loose!
I am exchanging it this week.Oh dear! Unbranded, expensive, ...and one day of use!
I do not know wether to get another w910 or what. SE is just complicating my life soooo much.It cost me 400 euros!and if I keep it I'm sure it will become unbearable to use in a few months...

It sounds like you bought an old W910i (like an earlier one). I remember complaints of this, but the problem was fixed. My W910i is fine! Try to get a newer version, you won't have that problem. And I believe that firmware is pretty old too.

how can I know if it's a newer version?
I'm afraid here in Spain we are getting the ones from the "first" pack.
I have 7 days to exchange it or I'll be forced to keep it

Look underneath the battery and you should see some writing. Look for something like W42 or W39 or similar. Then tell us what it says.

Ooh I don't know what number to look for... Mine is recent though (2 weeks old), and it says 08W03, which means the 3rd week of 2008 is when mine was manufactured. I'd say anytime after 07W48 would be fine. Thats roughly the beginning of December, though I'd hope for newer seeing that you are buying a new phone!

It says this date underneath the battery near the top right. Good luck! It really is a great phone when you get a good one, so here's hoping you do!

Oh and about cards, 4GB should be fine with the latest firmware at least. 8GB should be sweet too. The only problems with larger cards seemed to be with earlier firmwares. Sorry I don't know anything about wireless headsets.

Thank you again!
I hope I can say "no" if I see it is an "old mobile"
They might not allow me another exchange you know

True. Perhaps you could go for a W890i if the W910i is old? The W890i is similar, but it lacks a few features, but has a slightly better camera. I'd still take the W910i, but there is that option.
