Well hahaha!
I now got:
R1CA 037 071012
same old crap??
I got 029 before...
I may very well imagine this but it felt like the meny-scrolling goes a bit faster now..but as i said i might be imagining this...it's 6 o'clock in the morning here..and i haven't got to bed yet....yaaaawn

edit..hmm yes maybe the menus are a bit faster now...and also maybe maybe tha camera started up a tad faster after pressing the button..it defanately closes faster

I guess this is the "old" 037 firmware and not some "new" 037.

You could understand if 037 was released to fix a specific, important issue. Or was only release to specific CDA's. But as that's not the case, why the need for two releases in a short space of time?

037 did fix a specific, important issue: the camera. The 5mp camera is arguably the phone's biggest selling point, and it hardly worked! R1CA037 was entirely necessary.

Has there been an improvement in picture quality then, since the firmware update? Or just the flash-sync problem?

@RobM
AFAIK, just the flash sync problem. The camera was close to useless before the update, unless you turned the flash off, which wasn't always ideal.

Does anyone else have this problem of the camera taking a long time to shift between scenes?

1. Turn the camera on
2. Point it at a subject
3. Move it in any direction and you'll see the screen goes into 'slow motion', then finally settles on the subject.

I wish I could tell you if new update is available, but unfortunately I am having problems detecting the SEMCBOOT driver for the USB cable; however I am able to flash my P1i perfectly.

Vista Ultimate 64.

Since I updated to the new firmware, my phone has a bad habit of switching off and turning on by itself! Anyone having the same experience?
