Now that we know Nokia is buying out Symbian...is this the end of UIQ for Sony Ericsson? Is that why WM has been adopted on the Xperia? Did they know it all along and just decided to squeeze two more out of the venture (i.e. G700/G900)? Considering also...that allegedly Beibei and P5 are canceled what else can be said here?

After that the backlight did NOT turned off but remined on with about 30% brightness.
It bothers me becuase it disturbs when trying to sleep in a dark room and so on.
simple solution to this turn the phone face down when going to sleep, then you dont see any light from it
Seriously though while charging my one at night the light goes off, but that is maybe because I leave my phone on while charging rather than off...

My G900's backlight turns off when the phone is charged when on, too. But the light doesn't turn off when the phone is off. Could you please kindly try to charge your G900's battery when the phone is OFF and tell me does your backlight remain on with approximately 30%? Thanks!
yeah, normal behaviour. dont worry bout it draining the battery, its plugged in to the mains charging mate!

test it via the service menu (up,*,down, down,*down,* - from standby screen)
water and electronics dont mix, period.
but ive used my P1 in the rain and no probs so could be bad luck, would have thought the W960 and G900 style screens would be less prone to it due to the flush screen.

tip: the service menu can be also accessed via the storage wizard at step 2. it shows a list of running apps ,and there is a service menus (running for 18kb) and if u select view ,it takes you to the service menu.

I'm really very dissapointed with the G900 camera features,as it is total crap none cybershot models like the lower 2 or 3.2 Mega pixels camera models like walkman takes better picture than the 5MP G900,and touch interface not so great either as compared to other brands released much much earlier,Seriously what SE is thinking of?Why can't they have all in one package like Nokia does?As a strong supporter of SE I'm really lost for words.Another dissapointing thing is that SE announce new models but it takes very long for it to be released ,sometimes more than 6 months.By that time competitors would have released something more desirable to choose.
