yeah so am i . iwas expecting it to be so much like the japanese so505is.what a pity ,will have to wait a bit longer for something better

From what i kno all the s05osis has over the s700 is a greater digitital zoom. i'm not too sure if there are any other differences though.....

In what way is s05osis digital zoom greater than S700 digital zoom ?
Why did you expect S700 to "be more like s05osis" if there are no differences (For NA, S710a at least has EDGE which s05osis does not) ?

I think the s700 has sumthin like 4x digital zoom while the s05osis has 10x digital zoom ( not too sure about the zoom figures ) Plus the s05osis has a couple more features ( it has to be more advanced since its for the japanese market ) But like i said, i'm not too sure about them.

The S700 has a liner zoom up to x8, which I think is similar to the Japanese version. I actually don't think the difference is that large.

Yes indeed. The s700 has a 8x zoom while the japanese version has 16x zoom. How good a 16x zoom is i have no idea...
