Given that the economic situation worldwide has changed a bit since the pact was drawn up I wish my country too would exceed the limits... if it means the poorer ppl can still afford to go to a dentist once every year or so

Quid, squid and also slang for individual amounts e.g. £5 is a fiver, £10 is a tenner. Sometimes an amount will be given in an old value e.g. guineas.
