That's really nice to hear Mizzle... But by next week you mean the coming week only right??? But wouldn't that mean that the announcement is in April whereas the rumors stated as May???
Well the earlier the better.... By the way any idea which day???
My guess is Friday...
Quote from Mizzle over at his Rumor thread at SE-NSE:
"Next product announcement will be during next week, and as far as I'm aware only phone will be announced - Emelie, that is. There have been some design changes on the keypad." So we will only see one phone next week:(

At least we can see what Emilie will be like, design seems interesting so lets see what happens

Im sure one of you lot (PK, Mizz and someone else) specifically said that BeiBei had a camera lens cover on the back? And now we see it doesnt. I suppose itsnot running on OMAP 3rd gen either.

I think that was me, even though I can't find that statement by using the search on my blog (help, any one?). Anyway, there have been some design changes, so that might have been it.

It's really very sad for SE. Their so called flag ship device isn't even manufactured by them and I have serious doubts about how much of the design was done by SE, the case maybe?

How many phones do you think SE or any other manufacturer make them in their own factories??? There are many SE phones whose manufacturing would have been outsourced to some other companies... Even the Sony Playstations are outsourced and manufactured in China and HTC is simly the best company for SE to outsource the production of X1...
Oooch please!!!!!
So, have you heard about Nokia designed by Samsung or LG???
In fact it was cooperation, meaning they're maybe not able to do it BY THEMSELVES? Production is one thing, and designing is second.
In the end the Paris announcement will say what is this product placement and what features it will bring. Maybe it's a great business device, and SE guys talk about X1 because this is NOW revealed so they can speak, and don't want to speak about any rumour (I understand that).
But if there's different way, and X1 is really going to be best of the SE HOUSE, and Paris will be another compromise, AND only eventuall NEXT UiQ generation (4.0?) will be a major breakthrough (unknown future) so SE is really stupid company. And not worth any interest in terms of top end.
But if I'm wrong, that's allright.
X1 has two disadvantages - sliding keyboard on the side and it's Windows.
To be honest, if I'd be interested in this kind of (less ergonomic that Pseries) soloution, I'd buy TyTn2 long time ago!
And much cheaper than X1.
