Hello,
I have updated to 2.1 nordic firmware, from my Greece and Balkans original 1.6 X10. I am experiencing very often disconnects of the WiFi, even though I have set it to never enter power saving state for wireless.
I find the phone having reverted to mobile connection, which has NEVER happened before, when it still was with the 1.6 version the WiFi was rock stable (no disconnects whatsoever, for days and days).
This is a serious problem, mobile data costs money and phone should use wireless networks whenever available.

Hi ,
I tried to change from Nordic to Genric and the problem is still there , when the screens locks the wifi disconnects even though we set it to never in the power saving mode. I have rooted the phone need to unroot the phone and check once.

goto settings and let all your contacts sync with google contacts ('setting' -> 'accounts & sync' -> gmail -> 'sync contacts'), then log in to gmail.com with your google id (after the phone has finished it's syncing process) and go to 'contacts' -> 'find and merge duplicates'. It lists all the duplicates and let's you decide which ones to merge together and which ones not to. Really simple. It also then means you never have to backup your contacts again as they'll always sync up to the gmail contact book and conversely changes sync down to your phone automatically.
Tried that but it still hasn't got rid of the duplication completely. Can't believe SE (or Android) have not fixed this bug...surely there must be a way of deleting the duplication without having to create all the contacts again.

Have you managed to send any files via Bluetooth after the update.
I have tried once than it failed. Now I can't even turn Bluetooth on.
I have restarted phone couple of times but it doesn't change anything

The really weird thing is that in Android 1.6 version this problem did not appear at all. 2.1 seems to have some power saving options that get activated by force, even if the end user specificaly chose someting else.

I Think one way out of this is. If You go to your phone book then contacts at the to left there is a group tab when you press there will take you to the phone,Facebook,Sony rricsson and Google groups just click only one off the groups that might help get rid of your duplicates contacts, only found out about this yesterday of trying sort it out fifths best part of a day! Good it helps...

I bought 3 different USB car charger, only 1 works with my Xperia x10. the other 2 doesn't seem to work. but it's not defective, it charges other phones, even through the same USB cable.
Does this means that only some works on SE phones while some doesn't?
The one that works is a generic brand, but so is the other 2 that doesn't. All seems to work with other devices as well. It seems SE is specific.
Does anyone else have the same problem? is there an explanation?

I have seen this problem with a non SE car charger. With a SE car charger it works. Can't explain this.
