I was told on XDA that due to separate partitions on 2.1's X10, all those preinstalled apps that remove using Titanium backup are in /system, the storage space value we look at is for /data (that's why even after un-install some of the defaulted apps, the internal storage space doesn't seem increased), one way to save on data space is to push all the apps to /system, only pitfall is that market will not be able to update them but... if those apps that never get updated, /system would be a great place for them to live.
Anyone know how to move some of the apps to /system from /data? Thanks !

that's what she said!
I don't have any O2 speific issues as I don't have an O2 handset, but if you're going to use the Global Generic flasher from xda there's a bit of faffing with Windows7 64-bit and java 32-bit.
Read their forum for the workarounds (I think it's about page 124 onwards that are useful for that issue).
The Generic Global has all the Asian language support too. The Chinese keyboard I find particularly good as you slide up on a letter for CAPS and down on a letter for punctuation so no switching screens for numbers and marks etc and fewer presses for capitals. The Generic also doesn't have the Google Voice Search app which I found useful before. I can send you the apk for it though or you can google voice search 2.1 apk.
Also, rooting 2.1 with the
xda guide on super1click works. I did it and I've removed moxier (what a waste of time) and quadrapop.
Good luck!

You dont/shouldn't need or use one on an Android phone. Can cause more problems than make the phone better.

The 2.1 update has fixed some functionality for me, but killed others.
The most annoying thing it has killed is email notifications. Before the 2.1 update, I would get email notifications as soon as they arrived in my inbox, just like a text message. Now it doesn't work. I have to manually open the gmail app and press refresh.
Any idea how to fix this guys?
