@da wanqsta: I'm posting from my phone...from what I saw earlier you'll still need GPRS/3G to access your tv. Please correct if I'm wrong.
Tonight I'm staying home to watch the first season of The Office on dvd. Wind is blowing like a Mother in this City.

@ da brixsta,
Just got back from the show and I'm buggered. Can't say it blew my mind too much; almost a kind of anti-climax of sorts for me...perhaps if I was there purely as an application developer, I might have been frothing at the mouth more.

BTW, here's an extract from that Location Free article:

'You can choose the best way for your P990 to connect to the Base Station depending on where you are, and this can be over the Internet, through a wireless connection if you're in a Wi-Fi hotspot or through your 3G network. The Base Station itself also doubles as a wireless access point, providing the basis of a home wireless network.'

Will be resizing some pics to make them more forum-friendly.
Should be back here within the hour with pics.

As promised, pics from the Symbian Smartphone Show.
(excuse the iffy pic quality.)

Excel Arena entrance:

Next up is this 3G Symbian slider handset from LG, called the JOY...oh hell, I hope they change the name before its official market launch next year...
Will run on Symbian 9.2. It has a 2mp camera at the back, expandable memory, etc. Didn't see a flash for the camera though.

Ah, so! One of the highlights for me; a very rare opportunity to try out some WORKING Jap market DoCoMo network cellphones!!

Err..what have I pressed..?

Oops...now what..?

The future's bright with this one:

Banner on the way out: Same time, same place next year.

Will post pics of the exhibits and other related stuff in due course.

@da wanqsta: Nice pics. Were they taken with your phone(s)?

@ da brixsta,
Not all of them were taken with the phones; I also used a basic Olympus digital camera for quite a few of the pics.

I see some mouthfuls of poison have contributed to this thread been locked:
