Actually, I believe the announcement of the X1 trumped the announcement of the N96 (both at MWC), if all the coverage the X1 received on the tech blogs is anything to go by.
Yeah true but I think majority of people were just interested to see how much of the ugly WM is being used. Im sure most places would have been more interested in the P5/Paris or whatever but were just "checking the X1 out".
Anyway yeah it probably did trump the N96 announcment then again the N96 pics and specs were leaked months before so they were not as big a surprise.
