with #2 you are ready for fast (spontaneous) shots too:

AF = autofocus
INF = infinity focus

1. cam open (macro mode is on) -> AF shot
2. cam open (macro mode is on) -> once pressed '+' key -> INF shot
3. cam open (macro mode is off) -> AF shot
4. cam open (macro mode is off) -> many times '+' key -> AF shot with zoom

you will like it - believe me

I got used it already particle in 21.92 and can add:

5. Macro on - 10 fast pressing + -> you've got 2.0, its hypefocal distanse. ALL pictures in 1-10 m range will be sharp without long annoing AF.

solution #2 is better for funtion, but may be bad for the one who reads usage uncarefully. And I think most people read uncarefully. So for reducing confusion, #1 may be better. for me, i preffer #1, be

yep, most people read manual uncarefully or don't read at all or they don't understand english. well, i can't help them. after many months spent on esato forum and on various polish forums i can say that many people are expecting too much from 2MP/3MP and drivers. they doesn't know how to use drivers, why picture is blurry, why it's overexposed, why it's noised etc. sometimes this is quite funny but then i realize how impossible is to satisfy everyone
