JBenchmark can be downloaded from:
http://www.jbenchmark.com/download.jsp
The following bugs should be easy to reproduce with the new firmware. If anyone could test these for me and let me know which are fixed and which are still problematic I will update the first post:
---------------
1 - Plugging in headphones whilst watching a movie causes the screen to go into standby mode. Pausing the movie before plugging them in bypasses the problem.
2 - Whilst in the Main Menu, if you select a menu item with the keypad (e.g. 7 for the file manager) and then hit Back to go back to the Main Menu, the selected menu item will be highlighted but the title will be incorrect (it will display the name of the previous menu item selected)
3 - The text searching feature in the File Manager does not work. This menu should really use 1-9 to select a specific menu item rather than doing a rather pointless text search on the 9 menu items.
4 - The total call time in the Service Menu / Service Tests / Total Call Time does not match the time in Settings / Calls / Time & cost / Call timers.
5 - Changing between full-screen and Landscape while watching a paused video resets the timer to 00:00 until the video is unpaused.
6 - The RSS icon always appears after rebooting the phone until the user enters the Messaging / RSS Reader menu.
We will worry about the more complex / intermittant bugs when more people have the new firmware.

Apologies for a somewhat distant question - is someone from an area in Europe (where the shutter sound is muted in silent mode) able to tell me which region they are in? EU_1 or EU_2?
Thank-you kindly!
I'm about to reflash and change regions, and just want to be sure I'm not putting the default Aus firmware on! Cheers.
I'm on EU_2 and the shuuter sound is muted when in silent

Can anyone with the new firmware tell me:-
1) If the green line is gone when recording video?
2) If the volume on the music player is any louder when listening throught the headphones?
Thanks.

does the new f/w take care of the switch off problem (where the phone switches off itself and doesnt start till the battery is replaced or power button pressed for 10-15 seconds) ????

Green line gone in video also their is now a slight black border round the view in video record mode bit like wide screen telly but at the sides not that thick though. Sound does not appear to have been altered.

Interesting JBenchmark2 differences between firmware - 1230 up from 1018. Of course, each run is slightly different, but a 21% increase is significant.
Could anyone do JBenchmark 1 and HD runs for me?
