i was trying to access the globe wap site this morning and it was truly maddening! the p800's globe icon would appear but no data was transmitting in either direction. and it seems that only the myglobe site could be accessed. when i try any other link, i get an error message saying that it is not allowed with the current connection, i.e., use the internet APN.
it took me about 30 min before i was eventually able to connect to the myglobe page, and when i did, transmission speed was very slow! BTW, i wasn't in some godforsaken province when i did this. i was right on ayala ave.! globe has some serious work to do on their gprs network. anyone from globe listening?
in contrast, my addict gprs service has proven to be very stable, reliable, and always much faster than globe's. don't get complacent, globe, you have a lot of catching up to do!

@senninha, that sounds like my phone. I guess it is activated but just too darn slow to use worthwhile. I've waited close to 2 minutes to access myglobe a couple of times but I get impatient and shut it down. I haven't been able to access anything.

Well, I don't care about GPRS that much. But I guess it's slow because it's free and eveyone's using it. Or maybe Globe is telling us to switch to the non-free APN (internet.globe.com.ph).
Unless that APN is also slow... (haven't tried).

Saan pwedeng magpaupgrade ng r2d to r2f? kasi sa semicon megamall hanggang r2d lang

thanks
i upgraded mine there, & i got r2f. although it took them 6 lousy hours just to get the damn upgrade. try semicon podium or semicon main @ marcos highway, they might have better service people there.

So far I don't think it's available yet.

Just curious, is anyone using a 3rd party stylus? I'm planning to buy one since I found using one more convenient that snapping the "hair clip" on and off. This is because I write on the p800 a lot. I tried the CLIE stylus... it worked fine but it's too thin in my opinion.
BTW, I don't want to buy an expensive one. And it would be nice if it would have a clip (like a ballpen) to place it in my pocket. Any suggestions?

there's this 4-in-1 stylus pen (red & black ballpen & mech pencil) which is like a replica of that of the cross stylus pen. I bought it in columbia computer. around P 200.
I'm sure there are other stuff like that around too.
