Ach, you if check the OIS is used with mid and smaller sensors usually .
Between 1/3" and 1/2.5" ...
Bigger ones like 1/2.3" dont have. Not only Sony.
Pixel 2016 had 1/2.3" ( 7.81mm) did not have OIS.
The 16MP of the Ultra is 1/2.6".
The case of XA2 has a sided hole below volume.
For a power like the one of XA1, Z3, M5 etc..

Sony never had OIS for rear cam.
I think they dont trust current OIS technology for few reasons.
No benefits under sunlight.
No for videos, the fact it cant act as fast as EIS against shaking might be huge deal.
Also mobile OIS is not good if you shoot something on the move.
Pets, children, X Games ....
Curious to see what DVS can do ... Maybe it could be a tiny version of OSS.

I think Sony.
Judging all samples I have seen so far, I would say XZ is the best.
Better than newer Xperia.
I forgot to ask.... Is XA2 plastic or metal back?

Xperia has a good video stabilization but if you zoom in you can see that it has less detail when you compare to another flagship.
OIS also has benefit for still image especially during the low light.
Still wonder what exactly is dynamic vibration system though.

Seems like the resolution has to do with it.
Also the max zoom is 8x, some phones dont do 8x
