that's y i was surprized when u say u manage to get an upgrade... coz i call them ard 4 to check if it's possible... as i had my experience from travelling down to Kallang PUdding to get the upgrade and to no avail... So i guess we had to wait then... Just count ourself unlucky to get a T68mc instead of T68m... CHEERS... WORLD PEACE

huni>- Let me understand what you are trying to say. You were saying the GoldHill ppl told you your T68mc after converting to T68ic and you cannot have English T9? That is bullshit. When I had my T68mc sw, I do not have the English T9. So I did convert to T68m sw which I have the T9 in it. But after my upgarding to "ic" versions, not only I have the Chinese T9 and the English T9 was there also.

Here is how the conversion works. Let me explain to you one more time. Say now you are holding a T68mc. And you want to have an English T9. Yes, you can convert your T68mc to T68m. But all your Chinese Strokes, Hanyu Pinyin and Bopomofo will be gone. It will work like a T68 function on your T68mc phone.

Now if you upgrade to the "i" versions. Yes, The upgrading sw can only recgonise your "Original" T68mc sw in your phone. That also means
that after the upgrading, your conversion of T68mc to T68 sw will be all gone. After the upgrading, It will back to "ic" sw and will not be "i" sw. However, it has an advantage, ALL "IC" will come with English T9. So you have both as what my T68ic had given me.

In regards of my RS 232 cable, I cannot remember how much did I buy at this moment. However I can check it out for you and let you know later.

TONYG>> so your fone is a T68mc one? How could you get the "ic" sw? Did you convert it at Kallang pudding? I have converted it to the "m" verson like you advised me before. But now the pple at Goldhill told me that its not posible to do the convertion of T68mc recently due to blah blah blah. And they tell me to get back the fone and wait 2 more wkss.! thatz suxx.
