the interface is very sleek..bout the opera mini...no 3rd party apps..but the safari browser is great...w900 & w950 USED to do the job..they've long been sold(w900i is still the best phone ive used to date)...!@chuksy...got someone to buy it from yankee...but this was b4 the software update..and i unlocked it using the iphonedev teams open source software....but u can get them on ebay.com...(com..not co.uk)...@ AYA..its an excellent ipod for starters..the browser is currently the best in the market(..althouth i never tried any of the opera mini's..)....if you could let me kno which features you are intrested in i could test them out and let you kno

Unfortunately, browsers don't work in isolation. The iPhone browser is of no good to me without an adequate text entry system e.g. A QWERTY keyboard. Text entry on the iPhone is crazy, especially if you have to post on a forum like this, or do some of the more advanced stuff I do with the E61.
This cramped data entry issue should limit emailing and SMS on the iPhone the same way.
Plus any device that does not allow use of Opera mini or provide the same compression technology and versatility is suspect. Without Opera mini, my GPRS bills will hit the roof.
Finally, the lack of 3rd party apps - java or otherwise - just places the iPhone in a box. Why its called a smartphone by some beats me.

On my little W810i I have like 8 java applications that make the phone tick. You mean I'll buy an iPhone for $400 and not be able to pimp it up?
