im not exactly sure how accurate
this website is, but from here you see the progression of firmware versions for K600 as:
R2T002
R2K005
R2J002
R2H002 (V600i)
R2G001
R2F015
R1K005
I don't find R2AB002 there. Is that even newer than R2T002- doesnt seem like it, if you follow the [hexadecimal] naming convention (1-9,A-F). But it could be for all I know. . .
feffe: yes, theoretically, but only for phones with CID
ryolasta: DCU-60 is for fastport connectors. K600 doesnt use that. Get yourself a DSS-25
rcmacc: no performance changes whatsoever? Can you check a few bugs for me (if these still exist in your firmware version):
1- the sent prompt says "[ Message Sent ]" then quickly refreshes to "Message Sent" when sending SMS
2- shortcuts getting reset at random when switching phone off/on
3- some sites render incorrectly with the browser (my operator's didnt render right until R2A for W800)
and no improvements on speed/responsiveness, you say?
thanks

1. I don't think my previous version did that but it now says sending message to message sent.
2. My previous version never did that this version hasn't so far either.
3. I don't use the browser that much but it now seems more flaky - some of the vodafone pages get 'cannot be displayed' sometimes although clearing the cache seems to have cured this.
Speed wise i've not noticed any difference. The ring tones are alot louder now, the only other comsmetic difference is some of the vodafone icons seemed to have changed.
Once the phone is out of warranty I'll probally flash it to a generic k600 - though I'd imagine if I do this Vodafone will not recognise the phone model so will only serve the very basic wap pages.

Just tried the update service with my K608i and it told me no updates available.
My software is R2L002 which is hardly the latest.

I am thinking there is no new firmware for the K608i as this shows as CID37 in Davinci but there is no firmware to update for CID37 listed.
Also the SEUS does not say it is not supported, it says you have the latest firmware.
Any thoughts?

I'm not sure about how SEUS really works.
1) When I tried updating my K700i (which already had the latest firmware) it told me that yes, I have the latest firmware already, but I was offered to install it anyway.
2) When I tried updating my K608i (which also had the latest firmware, BUT it was Multiserver flashed) it simply told me that there were no updates available.
What the hell is this? Does the SEUS server recognise the R2T software as "illegal" since it doesn't offer me to download it anyway, like it does with the K700 "legal" software?

when i try to upgrade my k600i using the deskstand i get the 'downloading phone software' message, then a popup telling me:
......... 'The current phone software can unfortunately not be upgraded using this service. If you perceive a problem with your phone please visit nearest service location.'
The phone was bought SIM free from foneplanet and has r2g001 software installed.
any ideas why this message?
